No.6（2003）19.Increasing the efficiency of apparel products planning using digital technology

Recently, various CD-ROMs featuring material collections are being sold for design work performed by computer. But most of them are produced for graphic design work, there are not many collections that can be used practically for apparel design work. Therefore we produced textile patterns that take into consideration processing and generality for increasing the efficiency of apparel design work. The kind of patterns are checks, stripes and floral patterns that come to a total of 303 patterns. It is possible to tile repeatedly and change colors easily by using the graphic applications of Photoshop and so on. They are produced on the assumption that they be used in styling sketch, planning concept map, real apparel products and many other digital contents. The digital data of patterns are compiled for CD-ROM material collections, and we will distribute them to interested parties.
