Support for technical verification on preproduction parts (For aviation industry cluster "TMAN")
Aviation Industry Support Laboratory provides technical support for receiving orders for aircraft parts from abroad and domestically through technical verification on preproduction parts.
Example of support:Technical support for manufacturing and functional testing of POPPET SET
POPPET SET is the aircraft part that controls the air pressure inside, and about 50 of them are fitted in each aircraft.
Since this part is required airtightness, it have to be machined with high precision. We supplied technical support for manufacturing, and examined and implemented the air leak test.
Collaborative projects (For aviation industry cluster "TMAN")
Collaborative projects between TIRI and TMAN SMEs. For example, manufacturing process efficiency, trial with simulation for improved production, stable supply of production, and so on.
Project case: Bending aluminum thin-walled waveguides
In the aerospace industry, aluminum thin-walled tubes as waveguides are used to reduce weight, and bending is required to mount waveguides in a limited space. In the past, it was difficult to form thin-walled aluminum waveguides because they were occurred to defects such as wrinkling and cracking, but through collaborative project conducted by a waveguide manufacturer and TIRI, forming has become possible with minimal defects.
Project case: Finding a solution to a challenge for electricity transfer swivel
In order to prevent galling of threads of electricity transfer swivel in cargo transportation, we conducted suitable conditions such as heat treatment.

Workshops have been held using the drawings of retired aircraft parts.
Parts manufactured in the workshop have been displayed at air shows.
