In order to develop Embroidery Lace designs we investigated and analyzed different kind of production, processes and characteristics of lace, as well as traditional Japanese designs, such as Kosode, Yuuzen, Noushouzoku and Isegata. Embroidery Lace permits the production Chemical Lace and other styles of lace that have a depth that other types of lace can not produce, However, we also were able to discover that Embroidery Lace production is expensive and difficult. When it comes to the designs, most of them are of plant and flower types, and designs that use more than two objects are greater in number when compared to those that use only one. Based on what this finding, we tried to make a change in the plans of the designs. But from the cost point-of-view, it is difficult to employ other designs such as those from kimonos directly as the material for Embroidery Lace. This is because the designs are made specifically for Kimonos. Nevertheless, we discovered that it is still possible to effectively make Embroidery Lace designs by using traditional designs, This was possible due to cereful selection of appropriate designs, renegotiating the original ones and rearranging and adjusting the direction of the designs.
