No.4（2001）23.Development of a device which observes bone useing an ultra-sound image

The device which observes the affected part uses X-rays and ultra-sound waves to observe the condition of the bone in examination of bone fractures and sprains. The condition of the bone can be examined safely using this the observation device which uses ultra-sound waves is useful in explanation to the patient. Research and development are being performed together with the orthopedic society in order to develop an apparatus for observing bones using ultra-sound images. The major points of improvement are better understanding of the fracture and improvement in operability.
