Tama Techno Plaza established in February

Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute merged its technology department with the Joto Area SME Promotion Center, Jonan Area SME Promotion Center, and Tama Area SME Promotion Center, becoming a regional incorporated administrative agency, resulting in a local independent administrative institution alongside the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute.

Merged with the Metropolitan Textile Research Institute in April

Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Center and Tokyo Metropolitan Isotope Research Center merged to form the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute.
